Welcome Grant William Sutko!

After thinking he would never get here, I was suprised Thursday am to have my water break at work. After a call to Nick and the Dr, we were on our way to the hospital. It was quite the day waiting for our baby to arrive. However, after 19 hours of labor (sounds much worse than it actually was) Grant William Sutko arrived!

He was born January 23rd at 3:58am and weighed 7lbs 9oz, measured 20 1/2
in. Nick and I could not believe our eyes that he was a boy (and I do say eyes because I think we both had to see for ourselves that he was a boy even though the Dr. announced it).

Nick and I could not feel more blessed with our new little miracle. We thank everyone who kept us in their prayers and cannot wait for you all to meet the little guy who has already stolen our hearts!

39 Weeks

Well we went to the Dr. yesterday and it doesn't sound like the baby's made much progress from last week. I was still sitting at 2-3cm dilated and 90% effaced. So we'll just keep waiting...I think it's starting to drive us crazy! Hopefully very soon you'll be looking at some pictures of our new little one!

37 Week Update

At our last Dr's visit, the Dr wasn't 100% convinced the baby was head down, so today we had an ultrasound. It confirmed that the baby was head down and to Nick and I's surprise, they said it weighed 7lbs 5oz. We are starting to think if this baby makes it till the due date, it might be quite big. They also said I was 80% effaced and 1cm dilated, so we were excited to hear we are making some progress.

Holiday Fun (35 Weeks)

Our plan for Christmas was to stay in KC because we did not know
how I would be feeling. After a quiet Christmas Eve at home, we decided since I was feeling so well to make the trip back to Nebraska. We ended up driving back Christmas day and surprising our families. We had a lot of fun and we're even able to attend the annual Sweater Party!
